Hong Du-sik grew up in a small fishing village on the coast of South Korea. His parents and grandfather were all fishermen, and he learned the trade from a young age. However, Hong had bigger dreams than just being a fisherman like everyone else in his village. He was determined to make something of himself and escape the monotony of his small town.
